[Webinar] Having Hope in 2026 USA: the Science and Practice

In today’s political landscape hope can feel like a faraway thing.

But here's something most people don't know: hope isn't just a feeling you either have or don't have. It's actually a cognitive process - something psychologists have studied extensively. And that means hope is something we can cultivate intentionally, even when it feels impossible.

In this session, we'll explore why having hope feels so hard right now, dive into the science of how hope actually works (spoiler: it's about pathways and agency, not wishful thinking), and practice building hope together in one specific area of your life. You'll leave with a framework you can use whenever despair creeps in.

This webinar is taught by Susie Taylor, a resilience expert and fellow engaged (and exhausted) American.
